DEPARTMENT OF DAIRY TECHNOLOGY
The Department of Dairy Technology is a cornerstone of the College of Dairy Technology, Udgir, established in 2008. This department plays a pivotal role in undergraduate teaching, research, and extension activities. Adhering to the recommendations of the Sixth Dean Committee, the department is well-equipped with five laboratories. The department has earned national acclaim for its scientific contributions, with faculty and students receiving prestigious honors such as the IDA Best Poster Awards and prizes at the National Dairy Products Judging Contest. A key highlight of the department is the Mini Experimental Dairy Plant, designed to provide hands-on training in milk processing.
